Is it really free?
Yes. Unlimited forms, unlimited submissions, and every builder feature on the free plan, forever, with no card needed to start. Free forms carry a small Nicelyformed badge, and that is the whole catch.
Is there a limit on forms or submissions?
No. Most form builders cap monthly responses and start charging the moment a form takes off. Nicelyformed never counts forms, submissions, or respondents on any plan. The only metered thing is AI prompts.
What counts as an AI prompt?
One form generation, one edit request or question in the builder chat, or one question to insights. Free includes 100 prompts a month and Pro includes 1,000. If you run out, your forms keep collecting and you can keep editing by hand; only the AI pauses until the month resets.
Do respondents need an account?
No. Anyone with your link can answer on any device, no sign-in required. Their answers survive a refresh, and on multi-page forms the pages they finished are kept even if they leave early.
Can I embed a form on my own site?
Yes. Every form gets a clean share link and a copy-paste embed snippet that drops it into any website. You can also send respondents to a URL of your choice after they submit.
Can I use my own branding?
Yes. Add your logo and cover image, pick from 50 curated fonts, theme every color, and rename the submit button. Pro also removes the Nicelyformed badge, so the form is entirely yours.
Can I export my submissions?
Yes. Download everything as a CSV in one click, with matrix grids split into tidy columns. New submissions can also land in your inbox, answers included, at one address or several.
Is my data safe?
Submissions are encrypted with AES-256 before they reach the database, on top of encryption in transit and disk encryption at rest. You can export or delete a form and its data at any time, and our GDPR page lists every provider we use and where it runs. Read the GDPR page
Is my data used to train AI?
No. Form generation, editing, and insights run on Google's Gemini API, and the data sent to it is not used to train Google's models. Nicelyformed does not train models on your forms or submissions either.
How is this different from Tally or Typeform?
Tally is free and generous, and its AI builds forms too, but the AI stops at the builder and drop-off analytics cost $29 a month. Typeform caps the free plan at 10 submissions a month and starts at $39.
